Your manuscript is so close to being finished, but you aren’t sure where commas should be and if you’re using the right version of “to” or “there.” Whether you’re a grammar nerd or have a phobia of it, everyone needs a copy/line edit.

This is the nitty-gritty editing that brings to mind stern English teachers with red pens. (But don’t worry—I’m nice!)

What I do

In the first round of edits, I address the writing style and language used on the sentence  and paragraph level. Any points of confusion and need for clarification are addressed here.

If need be, you provide the necessary details/changes before I move on to the second/third rounds.

In the second and third round of edits, I edit for grammar, punctuation, syntax, and spelling.

What you get

  • Visible edits throughout your entire manuscript.

  • A book that is 100% ready for publication or querying!

What writers are saying . . .

Stephanie Ascough

MG Fiction Author

“Brooke was professional and kind, so it felt like working with a smart, efficient friend. I am so grateful for her thoughtfulness, thoroughness, and timely work—she always returned my MS exactly when she said she would, which was extremely helpful. She made my first experience working with an editor totally stress free. Thank you, Brooke!”
